We have to travel frequently to producing
countries to pursue fine teas for our business. Besides just visiting
the estates and tea factories, we also enjoy meeting new friends, learning
new things or experiencing new tea culture on each trip. Since Thomas’
recognition - having been honored with the title, The Ambassador of
Taiwan Tea, by the Taiwan Tea Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) in
April of 2007, he has initiated a Taiwan Oolongs Study Tour program
which is integrated for the tea professionals from Northern America to visit
Taiwan for an educational field trip. This program is sponsored by TTMA and
serves really well to fulfill a practical training for those who have
accomplished the Oolong Level-3 class that STI offers in the Certification
Program. Due to greater demand, Thomas and Josephine are planning to
organize Taiwan Tea & Scenic Tour featuring Tea as a theme, but with
culture, cuisine, sightseeing and shopping as a package--This will be open
to general tea fans. We are looking forward to co-op this program with our
tea business owners.
