1. Rediscovering Pure Indigenous Tea in Taiwan on 6/11/2010  from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Speaker: Lynn Y.S. Lin, Ph.D., President, Lynn Y.S. Lin Consulting, Inc.

Riding on the natural and organic tea trends and inspired by Taiwan Oolongs, a new direction of study is to take the Taiwan indigenous tea plants and their potential development for hybridizing better cultivars suited for Taiwan’s organic tea plantation.

By the end of this seminar you will be able to:
  1. Understand the indigenous tea trees of wild Taiwanese tea forest and why it’s flourished without human intervention.
  2. Learn the history of Taiwan tea cultivars and how these indigenous trees will affect Taiwan tea from moving forward.
  3. Understand the research and development from Tea Research and Extension Stations in Taiwan.
  4. Learn why utilizing indigenous tea plants to hybridize new and better cultivars for organic tea plantation is a new direction for Taiwan.
  5. Encourage other countries to develop the most suitable and best natural and organic tea on their own land.

As the World Expo goes on in China, the World Tea Expo is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. From 6/11 to 6/13/2010, come meet ABC Tea's Thomas, Josephine, and Jackson at the Taiwan Tea Manufacturers' Association in Booth #643.
