Event: Taiwan Oolong Tea Study Tour
When: October 23 – October 29, 2008


The First Taiwan Tea Study Tour will be held from October 23 to 29, 2008 by the Taiwan Tea Manufacturers Association (TTMA). Sponsored by TTMA, the Taiwan Oolong Tea Study Tour is designed for Tea Professionals worldwide to have a better understanding of both Taiwan Oolongs and the history of Taiwan Teas. With more then ten years of experience conducting the Oolong Tea Study Tour to Japanese tea professionals, TTMA intends to present Taiwan’s tea environment to North American tea professionals this October, 2008. Through visiting various tea plantations and farmers, whose pride and joy is their teas, observing their innovative yet traditional farming techniques and skillful craftsmanship, experiencing tea-processing hands on, and interacting with tea farmers/makers, the Taiwan Oolong Tea Study Tour will create an enchanting, joyful, and fulfilling experience.

This six day Taiwan Oolong Tea educational field trip will be specially conducted by Master Jackson Huang, a senior advisor also former Chairman of TTMA. Master Huang will guide the group to the famous Pouchong tea district, visit the original Tung-Ting mountain, discover the secret of Formosa White-Tip Oolong, and the privilege to visit those hard-to-believe high mountain tea gardens.
